Amy C. Fisher has 35 years experience creating commissioned tile murals, watercolor and acrylic paintings for corporate and residential interiors, as well as pencil, ink and watercolor illustrations for books, brochures and posters. Individuals often make requests that are of unique personal interest.

Typically, a commission proceeds as follows:

  1. You and Amy discuss what you want:
    • subject
    • medium
    • dimensions.
    • color scheme particulars that may need to be considered.
  2. Pricing is determined by the complexity of the project and the amount of work being commissioned.
  3. A contract is drawn up that defines the expectations of the client, preliminary design planning, progress payments, delivery dates, insurance, termination conditions, ownership, copyright and any special case topics.
  4. A 10% non-refundable fee is often required, for which you may expect a pencil sketch and/or a color study. This is your opportunity to give the green light to the project or to request changes.
  5. On approval, a 40% deposit is required. The remaining 50% is due upon delivery of the artwork completed to your satisfaction.
